"The perfect English course for visual learners." - Bruna M.

Do you remember learning your first language? It probably involved reading picture books, or a friend or family member pointing directly at an object: "It's a cat! It's a dog!" Learning words was easy back then, wasn't it?

Many words can be understood with a picture alone. No fluff, and no extra explanations unless necessary. So let's learn English with pictures!

For Intermediate English Learners (A2-B2)

If you have an intermediate level of English and want a structured and systematic way to improve your language level, this package and the course material in it, is for you.

Images are central to this course, so even learners with a lower level will be able to follow along.

Bring Words to Life with Pictures

Learning English through pictures is fun and easy. Pictures help connect words with real objects, making it simple to remember new vocabulary. When you see an image and hear the word, it becomes easier to understand and recall. This method is useful for beginners and visual learners because it brings language to life.

Meet Your Teacher

My name is Shana, and I’m an ESL teacher from California.

Over the past 14 years, I’ve been fortunate to share my love of English in Brazil, Spain, Germany, and throughout the US. Having taught over 3,000 online and in-person lessons, I’ve become obsessed with making the intermediate student's learning experience effective and memorable.

Apart from teaching, I like to bake, hike, and I’m an avid language learner. I love listening to German and French podcasts and chatting with my husband, Lucas, and our two daughters in Portuguese!

Is there a speaking component to this course? Yes. Each lesson has a repeat-after-me section to work on new vocabulary in context. Note that this is a self-guided course.

Is this course for my level? I typically say that if you understand 60-70% of what I say in podcast episodes (or MORE!), then your level is ideal for the material provided in my courses. The nature of this course, being image-centric, makes it ideal for A2-B1 learners, however B2 or C1 learners may find it a fantastic way to fill in gaps in their vocabulary and improve their pronunciation.
