The Seasons
The American English Podcast is divided into Seasons. The quickest way to gain access to all Seasons is to sign up for the Academy. Each Season includes 50+ episodes and a variety of lessons and stories related to U.S. culture and history.
Current Season
Season 5 highlights include The Birth of Netflix and Fall of Blockbuster, Dance Marathons, Soccer and the Miracle Match and so much more. This Season, we introduced Quick Fix lessons!
Season 4
Season 4 highlights include The Violinist in the Metro and 5-Minute English lessons like Going to the Dentist and Cats and Dogs. This Season, we introduced Preposition Party episodes!
Season 3
Season 3 highlights include The Starbucks Story, The Story of Jingle Bells, The Survival of Aron Ralston, and more. This season also introduced our Discover a New State episodes!
Season 2
Season 2 highlights include The Life of Stan Lee, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, and intensive vocabulary lessons on topics like Cleaning and Labor and Delivery. This season also introduced 5-Minute English episodes.
Season 1
Season 1 highlights include stories about NASA, Bears, the Discovery of Gold, the Happy Birthday Song, Coca-Cola and so much more. This season introduced Expression episodes!
Where Should I Start?
You can study the English lessons in any order! Many students prefer starting with Season 1, Lesson 1, while others prefer beginning with the most recent Season.
You may also want to develop a specific skill, in which case, I’d suggest starting with the lessons that focus on that area.
As we say in English, there are many ways to skin a cat, meaning there are many ways to accomplish the same goal. Just be sure to complete the Fluency Loop so you can make the most of your study time.
The Academy Structure

In the Academy, you’ll get a monthly study plan with four to five featured lessons, plus recommended grammar and pronunciation lessons to work on throughout the month. Check it out.
